Archives Maps and Drawings
The Archives owns a large number of historic maps and drawings relevant to the history of Champaign County. Many these are in significant need of restoration and repair. The Foundation hired The Chicago Conservation Center to restore initially three important items. The total cost for the three projects was $14,000.
Many more community treasures now in the Archives should be restored and displayed. These projects will await future donations to cover the expenses involved.
