Flower Boxes
After months of planning, new flower boxes are in place on the library's front balustrade and full of bloom. The boxes are beautifully constructed in walnut with dovetailed corners and a general level of elegance suited to our historic building.
The flower boxes are a gift of The Urbana Free Library Foundation, which paid for the construction and installation of the boxes and the first year's plants.
Special thanks to Diane Marlin, who organized the entire project, including preparing the proposal for the Foundation, planting the boxes, and maintaining the flowers during the heat of the summer.
