Wireless Wireless Internet access is now available in key locations in the Adult Services and Champaign County Historical Archives of the library. The main areas are the two groups of reading tables on the north and south sides of the second floor. (We'd like to say that the range is amazing, but between the library's massive floors and the large amount of steel shelving, the best reception is near the antennas on the second floor.) Our free wireless Internet access is provided through a joint project with **CU Community Wireless Network. Visit the CU Community Wireless Network website for a list of other local hotspots in our community. **This wireless service is not on a secure network, so please exercise caution if doing sensitive work online. In the summer of 2007 the Library will also be providing wireless access on the south terrace -- as well as benches to make access a more pleasant experience. |
