What is the LINC Catalog?

The LINC Catalog is the web-based online catalog for The Urbana Free Library and a number of other libraries in east central Illinois. The libraries using LINC catalog are all part of The Lincoln Trail Libraries System, which houses and maintains the catalog. You can use the catalog to check for materials, place holds, and view your patron account.

Where can you find access to the LINC Catalog?

The LINC catalog is available both on our public access terminals (OPACs) in the library and via the Internet.

Is the LINC Catalog accessible from my home?

You can access the LINC Catalog which is available here. Or can be found within the Urbana Free Library site, by clicking on the Online Catalog button which will take you there as well.

How can I place a hold for a book I would like, using the LINC Catalog?

To place holds, use your full library barcode number without spaces. Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your telephone number.

How do I know if the book that I am looking for is at the Urbana Free Library?

If you log in to the catalog from the link on the Urbana Free Library website, the catalog will highlight and provide call numbers for UFL-owned items.
