The Archives is open from 9-5 Monday through Saturday and from 1-5 on Sunday. The department closes on the same holidays as the Library. When the department is closed, a phone recording gives current Archives hours; call 217-367-4025 for information.

Directions
The Urbana Free Library is located at the corner of Race and Green street in downtown Urbana.
Out-of-town patrons should use Interstate 74 and exit south on Route 45 (Cunningham Avenue). Continue south 1 1/2 miles on Cunningham Avenue, which eventually becomes Vine Street. One block after crossing Main Street, turn right (west) on Elm Street. Continue west on Elm Street three blocks until you reach Race Street. Turn left (south) on Race Street and then right (west) on Green Street. The Urbana Free Library is at the corner of Race and West Green. The entrace to the library parking lot is on the center of the block. Parking lot meters are enforced from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. on weekdays. The Archives is located on the second floor of the library.
